The members of H.O.P.E. (Helping Others in Physical Education) travel to Seth Whitman regularly to help the younger students.

Ms. Letsinger started the club last year with just eight students; it has now grown to twenty three 6th to 8th graders. In the spring of last year they started walking over to Seth Whitman to help Ms. Stevens' 5th graders. On the last visit, CMS students taught them how to open padlocks so they could transition easier to middle school. H.O.P.E. now joins Mr. Novak's 1st period PE class and have helped them with throwing, catching, running, and social interaction skills. It's a fantastic way for our middle school students to show leadership by helping the younger students through one on one teaching. In addition, it's great for the elementary students to learn and and be successful in things they may not otherwise be successful with because of the extra help they are given.
