Meehan Elementary School has been named a Touchdown School by the Fuel Up to Play 60 program!

The schools who reach "touchdown status" demonstrate their commitment to school health and wellness by completing all six steps of the Fuel Up to Play 60 program.

Fuel Up to Play 60 is a dairy farmer-funded health and wellness program that encourages students to choose healthy food options and participate in a physical activity for at least 60 minutes a day.

A special thank you to the Aves Family Farm for helping Meehan to reach Touchdown Status. There are 6 plays that schools have to complete to score a Touchdown. Having a Farm to School experience and learning about where your food comes from is one of the six "plays." The Aves family brought in their calf and shared information about the farming industry. They also shared some cheese that is made with their own dairy milk. Congratulations to the MES staff and students who are a part of the MES Fuel Up to Play 60 team to help promote a healthy lifestyle.
