Nurse's Office

Information from the Student Handbook

Detailed medical information is provided in the  Student Handbook on the District website under Student Services. For your convenience, here is the most commonly needed information:

  • Should your child be staying home? And how is Physical Education handled when the child is ill or injured?
    Exclusion due to Illness/limited PE
  • When do I need to show proof my child is up-to-date on immunizations?
    New Student Imunization
Note, this applies then to all incoming 6th graders. There is a limited time to provide required paperwork,  so please make sure all is up-to-date so your child is not excluded from school.
  • What if my child needs some prescription or non-prescription medication?
Medications may be given to a child at school in an emergency or if it is required in order for the child to remain in daily attendance for comfort or as a necessity. It is expected that in most instances medication will be given at home and not in school.  Our school medication policy follows the recommended guidelines of the Illinois Department of Public Health and the Illinois State Board of Education.
