October=Resiliency Month. Peer Support members sponsored the annual Red Ribbon Week, which is just a part of the October Resiliency Month.

Peer Support created a banner for each grade level for all students to sign on the first day of Red Ribbon Week.

6th grade:  “One small crack does not mean that you are broken, it means that you were put to the test and you didn’t fall apart.”  -Linda Poindexter
7th grade:  “Pulling someone up will help you reach the top!”  - Peer Support Members:  Sam, Riley, Erin, Ella, Meghan, and Michaela
8th grade:  “Tough times don’t last; tough people do.” -Robert Schuller

Throughout the week, Peer Support members handed out  RAK TRREKs to students who demonstrate random acts of kindness.

The highlight of the week was Mixit Day, when students were encouraged to sit with and get to know other students, and Central Middle School's very own DJ Mr. Fleischmann provided  great music.

Mr. Fleischmann, 8th grade science teacher and deejay extraordinaire.

7th graders showed their stuff, then snake danced around the cafeteria.

Great music for dancing, also a little loud!
