District Tests New Telephone
Notification System - August 18, 2008
District 100 successfully completed a
test of a new telephone notification system on August 15, 2008.
All home and cell numbers in the student database received a test
message. If you were not contacted, please call the school your
child attends.

Board of Education Meetings to be
Broadcast - August 15, 2008
Beginning August 21, all regular monthly
Board of Education meetings will be shown on Comcast Channel 20.
Meetings will air on the third Thursday of the month beginning at 6:00
p.m.
August 21 is First Day for Students -
August 8, 2008
The first day of school for all District
100 students is Thursday, August 21. If you have not already
registered your child, please do so as soon as possible at his or her
home school. Bus schedules will be mailed to households between
August 11 and August 13, and breakfast and lunch menus for August are
available under Support Services/ARAMARK Food Services on the blue menu
bar above.

Flash Cards for Students - August 1, 2008
Belvidere Area Chamber
of Commerce Executive Director Tom Lassandro sorts Flash Cards for North
Boone District 200 and Belvidere District 100. Backpacks filled
with basic school supplies have already been delivered to both school
districts for disadvantaged elementary students prior to registration.
Now the Chamber has donated "Addition & Subtraction" and "Multiplication
& Division" Flash Cards to be used in the classroom. The Chamber
recognizes the importance of educating our children; supplying the
necessary tools and showing children that someone cares about their
education.
